The rear end is gone, the front brakes are gone, and the interior is SHOT, but it has a good hood and header panel! I'll be picking up the hood tomorrow and the header panel soon - $100 for the hood, $75 for the panel. The funny thing is that this TC is the same one a guy tried to sell me for $3k a few years ago. I knew it was junk then, but now it's official ;) It had an '86 engine, no intercooler, and the wiring looked like it was done by monkeys. Now the entire rear half of the car is rotted off. BUT I GET THE HOOD!!! :D :D :D :D :D
But if u wait to long u can bet the hood will be gone too.
And if the turbo is still there get it too.
The kids on the civic board will pay 250 for a used turbo.
Not like i take them of caravans and sell them or anything like that :giggle: when i go to s yard on all u can pull days
Any tail lights? :D
*looks outside*
whew...mines still here...
mine has an 86 engine in it also
Tail lights are still there. I'll ask about 'em if you'd like, Oldraven. I'm getting that hood tomorrow come hell or high water - it is literally the first TC I've seen in a junkyard in ten years, and the ONLY one I've seen with the hood on it. The header panel I can wait on - if it's gone, it's gone. At least they can be shipped if I decide to buy one off eBay or something.
I'll check the price on the turbo, but it likely won't be worth my while to bother with it...
I'd like! I'd like!
If you can get them for under $40-50, can you possibly pick them up? I'm good for it. Even just the drivers side, if it comes down to it.
So, like, $50 for one or $50 for the pair? How much are you willing to pay for one, in case the other is no good? Remember we have 15% sales tax here and shipping would probably cost around $15 for one (this is an estimate, it could be much higher or much lower).
Just wondering, because the J/Y is in the Lake Echo/Porter's Lake area, which is almost an hour away from me, so I don't wanna have to make too many trips
Because of shipping, $50 for the pair. If it's more, see if you can get me one for max $30. Considering how long I've been looking for a drivers tail, I'm willing to eat whatever tax and shipping charges they can throw at me. But the cheapest you can get, obviously. They may be generous since you're getting a hood. :disappoin you Ford and your two year run. It's a good thing they sold a lot of 'birds in those two years.
That's why I'm giving you my price range, so you don't have to make any special trips just for some carpetbagger out west. :giggle:
I hate to hijack but you canadians can answer this for me. Is brunswick in canada. Has to be? I was behind a car today with a plate from there.
I don't know about brunswick but New Brunswick is just north of Maine
EDIT: actually, it's north east.
EDIT part deux: Is this the plate
(http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/1151/NB/SA-NB-1991ND.jpg)
Yup thats the one. Saw a new Impala down here with that plate. Wan't to know the funny thing. It was in McArthur Ohio. This is the smallest town with a courthouse in the poorest county in Ohio with the smallest population for a county in Ohio. And a Canadian was pulling into a Hotel? Oh the things you see.
I've always considered New Brunswick a buffer. It's between Nova Scotia and Quebec, and it's between Nova Scotia and the USA. Kinda like a safety barrier :p
Unfortunately it's also a barrier to finding decent cars. Every car I see that I want is in Quebec, Ontario or the USA...
FVCK!!!!!
I called there this morning and the goded hood was sold this morning!!!! This is bullshiznit! I told them I'd be back this morning, even offered a down payment to hold it and they said it wouldn't be necessary, and they went and sold it to somebody that offered them $150!!! There aren't even many of these cars on the road around here! I can't believe somebody snapped up that goded hood within those few hours!
So much for my TC hood:mad:
I know the feeling. remember the TC I was looking to buy? You wanted the seats. I missed that one by 30 minutes. I never did find that car again.
