I'm parting out and selling DarkThunder. I don't really want to do it, but I think it's best that I start over with a clean slate. Darn thing has been sitting longer that it has been running. Literally. I always wanted a turbo coupe, well it was at first... long before I got it, and that's what I'm going to buy. An 87-88 TC. After I replace this (http://"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2044867") with one of these (http://"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/687240"). Parting it out will suck, but at least the parts will go to follow TBird enthusiasts.... hopefully. :D

well aslong as you buy another one cant really say much

but hey if you going to be parting it out let me know some info on your tranny

Is it not running now?  Is the chassis rotted?

Chuck W: The chassis is fine. It's got surface rust in the rear portion of the underbody but the rest is pretty clean. The engine is not running, was in the middle of a H/C/I swap but ran out of money, job, time, and patience.

It's one of those cars were everyone that owned it did something to it and you have to undo it... well, i've just had enough 'undoing' on this car.

88SptCoupe:  It's a C4. 164T. I rebuilt it and never run it. I'll be posting a list in the For Sale section soon.

well, as long as you dont dissapear man. dont be a stranger.  your car is one of my favorites on the board. not to mention your one of those guys that been on the board since i found it forever and a day ago...

I'm not going anywheres. TBird is one of my favorite cars. Actually, the SHO might be put on hold... found an 88 TC for sale in an ad. Gonna check it out tommorrow and see what's up. Who knows, I may be driving a Bird sooner than expected. :)

good luck man, we all do like that car though.. maybe you can off load it as is. some else may want to 'undo' all the bad.

:iagree:  everyone is parting these cars.  I know there are alot of them around (in some places) but eventually they are going to dry up we need to save them.

Picked up an 88 TC yesterday. Drives like azz, and the gf is mad, but I love it. :) Will post pics soon.

yet another thing I dont understand..  we find the cars we want and it makes the female mad....    they find the clothes or hair style or whatever they want and we have to be ok with it.
