Title: Failed.
Post by: CougarCoupe88 on October 01, 2005, 08:17:02 AM
Needed back brakes. and the Nox level was two high.
        standard    reading
Nox        937      1142
HC        124        100
Co        0.69        0.41
Co2                      8.9
o2                        5.2

so whats the deal. i ran the hell out of it. stock timing (allways) 87 octane (i should have bloked off the rad to get it even hotter or taken the police fan off) this wouldnt be from to much fule rite. isnt this from a lean condition.

The usual suspect in high NOx readings is the EGR system.
Do you still have one?

Lean MAYBE...NOx is from high exhaust temps...(maybe lean) Ck EGR system, Ck plugs not too wide a gap and correct heat range,Ck air filter,ck fuel pressure and regulator, run 93 octane...higher octane is "slower" burning and may "cool" the exhaust gas just enough...and possibly the "CAT"(pun intended :grinno: ) convertors are on the way out or dead... :D

nobody cares about NOX here...just CO2 and HC's
