what injectors should i swap in with my 86 5.0? im goin to be adding some heads and a cam. and i dunno anything about injectors :dunno: so help me me out! thanks

If you want to add "performance" Intake, Heads, CAM, you can get 24lb injector but dont forget to grab a Labeled X3Z 93 Cobra EEC-IV or get a 87+ HO EEC-IV reprogrammed for your injectors and an get an exhaust.
If you are just doing a HO swap, 19lb and a 87+ 5.0HO EEC will be fine...

you cna use a regular 89-93 5.0 ho computer but you need a mass air meter calibrated for 24lb injectors (other than that I agree with everybody else you need 24 lb injectors) you also could use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and some help from someone experienced with fuel injection tuning to help you dial t in.
Nobody has mentioned the fact that your '86 SO 5.0 has flat top pistons(HELL I can't think of everything). I'd say there is a really good chance you won't have suffient valve to piston clearance, with the Ebrock heads and cam.
Otherwise you'll need 24 lb injectors, matching Mass Air meter, and a Mustang EEC.
god dammit!!!!!! :mad: all this time and money i dont have! owell i guess i'll settle for some 3.73's.... i kno i dont need to change any injectors/computers/pistons for that :grinno:
