Question: what do you think?
wich looks better? I'm thinking the gunmetal for the stripes what do you think? or should I leave it silver?
........
Black would look good, but best of all would be painting the header panel.
If you really want to put stripes on the car, I kinda like the gunmetal. It's a little more subtle.
i like the gunmetal
i better say this or my dad would kill me but does racing strips really go on the top of the car? i dont mind it but he says somthing everytime someone does it so i was just wondering what you all think
I would paint the header first. Other then that I would want gun metal. I have never seen a car (street strip or track) with out the stripes on the top of the car, well unless it was a duct tape racing stripe on a civic.
id keep it silver
If you're set on stripes, I'd go black to match the door/bumper moldings. You'd end up with four different colours on the car if you chose gunmetal.
That makes alot of sense. Our cars don't do well with busy paint. I personally don't think these cars look all that good with strips.
unless its a chevy, the car should have them on top
I wanted to leave the header alone :hick:
leave it alone and just work on getting the rest of the paint and modlings up to snuff before worrying about stripes. and I like either two tone, or solid paint on these cars.. they don't to graphics well IMO.
if you do stripes, paint your TC like i did my red bird, monochrome, then add the stripes, so you dont have a bunch of different colors and lines

i cant find any other pics to show what i mean, but do everything you can body color, and then do the stripes
I saw an 87-88 TC on ebay a while back that was black with yellow stripes.....looked really good but it was T-boned.
Good Lord! That should be your first priority.
Racing stipes always makes me think the car sneezed while going down the road.
I would just get the car painted one solid color.
I wasnt serious..... :rollin:
go with the silver stripes kinda goast stripes
No stripes. These cars look more sinister without them.To me,these cars look like "wanna be's" with stripes, even if they have plenty of power, the striped look just doesn't fit.
I thought about that too.. but everyone here wants me to leave it alone
it 's not every one's car bro ......every man to his own
thats true I dont know what I'm gonna do at this point
I like stripes. I was thinking of going with black on mine with thin blue outer lines to match the blue interior. I was also thinking of dual ghost striped flames.
We don't want you to do anything you don't want to............ :wtf:
But you asked for opinions. So ya get 'em. ;)
thanks
Me personally, I would not do stripes, but have you considered perhaps one sigle stripe down the middle?
I dont think I would like the single stripe... would make it look like one of those cheap puppies cars. I want it to look like american muscle.
I don't know how easy it would be to pull off but if you striped it like an old Mustang it wouldn't look so bad. The mustangs stripes were not strait they flared out to match the hood or somthing like that. Maybe if the stripes followed the contour of the hood and then went back? I dont know.
