Title: power steering issue
Post by: Tbird232ci on November 15, 2004, 05:17:20 PM
i dont know many details since i havnt gotten the car yet...but here goes

the turbo coupe has a blown high pressure hose for the power steering, the previous owner told me it blew 2 other hoses, and he couldnt figure out why, i sat and thought, there would be no reason for the pump to cause the lines to blow, and the rack couldnt have aything to do with it, so what could?

could he have gotten the wrong hoses, or could he have no installed them properly?

Depends what hose the guy's talking about.  If it's one of the hoses that go to the p/s cooler, the guy could have just bought some cheap ass hoses that weren't made to handle the high pressure. Special high pressure hose is needed on those lines.
