Title: Plastic T-bird nose piece

Has anyone ever used or seen one of these? Would this also work on an 87 XR-7? I'd like to lighten up the front of my car as much as possible for the strip. I'm hoping to save my pennies for a fulle fiberglass front, including fenders, but $$$$$ wow. I this would bolt up, it would be a bit more streamlined than my cougar front, would weigh a ton less, and also allow me to sell off the original stuff and probably cover most of the cost.

Never used one but the way they describe it it sounds like it is more for the circle track guys. It says

It does seem to be for oval racing. You may have to check the specs as it probably lines up with the body of one of those wide flat body type dirt cars like this.

Probably not made to line up to a factory car. I did see a company somewhere that had an entire fiberglass front clip for a bird and cougar that included the front like this along with the fenders and hood all as one piece. It may have been some kind of scam or something. Can't find it now.

Here's the full fiberglass stuff I was looking at. I'm looking at $955 for the front end and hood to match it. Shipping from Florida to PA probably won't be cheap either...

Look's like they'll also do carbon fiber pieces for a TAD bit higher price. Think of carbon fiber hood, front end, trunk, doors....I wonder how much all those pieces would weigh together in carbon fiber as opposed to the stock steel?

i have also looked at these but havent contacted the on deminsions yet


there is a lot of guy who also use front like this on pony class car
wich is ussally a fox mustang  or pinto body  it is listed in there catalog as a circle track nose wich i belive is the narrower of the two and the dirt nose "wich looks wide in the book" is for the outlaw bodied cars. call them and ask they are a great bunch to deal with!

Wow that fiber glass stuff is nice and would save a ton of weight but if you ever got in an accident,ouch and death might be in order.

I talked to the guys at Midwest Motorsports. They said these will bolt up to factory fenders, but may take a bit of cutting and bending. They use them on their T-bird stock cars and never had to completely replace a fender to make them work.

if you get one let us know how it fits up . i am looking to loose some weight on my t/c:)
