My car has gone a best of 14.90's at 94mph(2.22 60') with an internally stock HO, 2.5" off-road h-pipe, dynomax super turbo's which are dumped and a k&n air filter. The car also has a 3.08 posi rear. Those passes were made in 50 degree weather on 225/60R15 cooper cobras. Since then, I've added full length headers, AR133 spark plugs and futura 265/50R15's(which hook like glue compared to the skinny coopers). I also rebuilt the front suspension (new shocks and struts as well)...now the car doesn't get any weight transfer at all and it ran 15.30's with a piss poor 2.38 60' time-this time in 80 degree weather.
I have a set of Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable shocks(to get that weight transfer I so desperately need), GT-40P heads, 3.55 gears, 190lph fuel pump & holley adj. FPR, I also have a TFS stage 1 cam on it's way to me as well as the parts I need to do a MAF conversion.
Once I get this parts in(with the proper headers to fit the "P" heads), I think I should easily be in the 14.40 zone. What do you guys think? What are some of your combo's in the 14's?
Thanks,
Don
Didn't see anything about a intake or converter stall(assumin its automatic), both definatly needed... With those and a 1.9-2.0 or so 60 ft, it should get into the 13.4s@101-102 with no problem... You'll want at least a 3000 stall to get the most out of the TFS cam...
I'm runnin the same cam with the TW heads, 2600 converter(need more) and 3.73s. On a 50* evening, my shiznit went 13.11@105.
Yeah, it's an auto...I'm hoping to pirate my buddy's GT-40 intake from his old combo and I'm looking to get a convertor with a 3200-3600rpm stall speed. I'm on a super low budget and I'm just stock piling parts right now...once I have the whole top-end package then I'll go ahead and install it...hopefully by late spring.
