Title: i love teh junkyards
Post by: 32VFoxBird on September 19, 2005, 11:29:12 AM
picked up a taurus electric fan, 130a altermanator, grey turbo coupe center console, and the matching radio surround panel, for around $80. :D

i have the hideous brown interior, and currently switching to grey. had some cars out there that had some nice grey carpet, too.

Where was this TC?  Pick A Part? Was it a 87-88 and did it have a front swaybar?

Here's what I got today...

Mark VII H.O. computer
5 spd. Mustang GT computer (speed density)
130 amp alternator with pigtail
5.0 H.O plate (1986 version where the letters are reading to the driver's side)
60mm throttlebody with IAC and TPS
3 MAP sensors
95 Lincoln Town Car stereo (nearly mint)
Mark VII electronic climate control unit (unusually great condition)
2 chromed fuel pressure regulators (excellent condition)
3 sets of 19# injectors
3 IAC units
fog light switch and cover panel
3 distributor boots (black rubber cover)
Mustang GT steering pump bracket (I've been wanting one for my A/C delete kit)
2 console trays (for cars with a console, but no floor shifter)
New fan clutch for a 5.0 (from a Mark VII)
2 tranny coolers (one for my Bird of course)
Ride Height sensor from the Mark VII with the harness
3.8 water pump pulley (for a friend)

I got it all for $65.00.Luckily the owner is a friend of mine or it would've killed me.I can't and wouldn't use much this stuff, but,I'll use it for selling or trading to support my T-Bird's needs. You know how it is.

of course it didn't have the turbo, the yards  them selves pull those before we ever get a chance to. jerks.

actually they dont. ive been out there before and found lots of the chrysler lebaron turbos and such. i have seen a few turbo coupe turbos, but not in one trip.

this was at pick-a-part off of wallisville road.

really, in michigan i have never seen a turbo on a car, but most of the junk yards around me pull the high dollar, or popular parts off the car before they put them in the lot.
hard to find a 130 amp alt, or decent mustang radiator on the car still, stuff like that gets pulled pretty quick, same with decent rims and the like.
