Post by: 32VFoxBird on September 18, 2005, 01:21:02 PM
did a lil junkyardin' today, and found about 5 or 6 lincoln lsc's, and one mercury xr7.

would the licoln rear end swap into my 88 tbird? can i use the e-brake cables also? how much wider/narrower is it than mine?

I used Mk VII axles and brakes in a TC rear on my Cougar, came out same width as the TC.

mk VII and lsc rears are the same? why not use the mark VII housing, too?

Use the whole rear end, the whole wider track this isn't that much of a big deal as everyone makes it out to be.

how much wider than the 7.5" rear ends? id like to be able to run some deep dish fr500s, without clearance issues.

The SVO/Lincoln stuff is 1/2" wider per side than the TBird/94-98 Mustang stuff, or 1" overall.

Yeah I know, my 7.5 did, the Mark 8.8 didn't.  No biggie if you use good U/LCA.
