Title: Coil Springs
Post by: Trickie67 on September 17, 2005, 01:29:38 PM
Is the coil springs between TB Turbo Coupe and Mustang the same? The reason I ask is because I want to lower my 88 TBird but they dont make it anymore and I was thinking that using Mustang lowering spring should work. Will it work and what specifc or year do I need? Thanks!

You can use the search function to find out more, and there is a thread full of info on what springs, and pictures afterwards...

But, If you can get your hands on a set of Eibachs (like I did  :D ), they work, but arn't made anymore as you mentioned... so, fox Mustang springs work in the front, and you can use SN95 convertable springs in the rear to lower it a little. As in many other ways to go... here: http://foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=62&highlight=springs+pictures

No they are not the same. Follow that link turbo83coupe posted, it contains lots of pics. Including ones of mine with Mustang Bullitt springs.

eh..something worth mentioning is that most of the time when somebody mentions mustang springs they mean STOCK mustang springs and NOT springs meant to lower a mustang. springs meant to lower a mustang will generally set the car way to low if not on the fender...

OK, but wont Mustang springs give you funkey handling, becuase of the different weight proportions of the two different bodies??
