Post by: TurboCoupe50 on September 11, 2005, 05:15:56 PM
Thats right gang, the old man finally mowed 'em all down in Street Class to take the money ($150) and the trophy....  :giggle: Since the track photographer had taken the night off, I had to wait till today to shoot a pix...

Yep I'm excited.... Well I was last night...

Congrats :drink: . 8.63 in the 1/8 mile right.  it takes my Buick longer than that to get to 60.

Not hardly... 1/8 mi. The 1/4 would have been approx 13.40.

The 8.40 in my sig was from a cold night last spring, would have been in the 13.10 area.

whats with everyone and their 60 foot-1/8th mile times?  isnt the 1/4 mile time what counts?

1/8 mile is not 60 feet.  Some tracks are only 1/8 mile...so its hard to get a 1/4 mile time from one :)

If you are refering to the 60 in thunderjet302's post, I beleive he's refering to mph...

I've ran plenty of times at a 1/4mi track, so my approx times were actually taken from passes at the longer track using the 1/8 mi time.

If you want to get into absoulte 1/4mi  best, it's gone 12.23@112.19(7.84 1/8) on a 90hp shot of nitrous. And done a best NA pass of 13.11@105.32(8.42 1/8). Yes I've actually gone a little quicker in the 1/8, so I'm guessing the 1/4 would have been 13.08 or so.

Chickened out...... Sold it. Decided I didn't want the hassle of installing a tall block with the A/C and ABS, etc...

BUT CAN YOU SAY 347????

I've located a fresh block already clearanced and bored. Gotta get it checked out....
