1) Fox body Tbird or Cougar
2) 17" Cobra wheels (fan style) from 1993 Cobra
3) Tbird Turbo or Cougar XR7 center caps, the ones originally on 10-hole wheels
Whadda think? Look good?

There was a picture floating around here somewhere with a Turbo Coupe with them on. Looked awesome, but the owner had to do some interesting spacing due to the odd Cobra offsets. The good news is there are normal offset reproductions made (in chrome, silver, black) at corral.net
yep...

there was a pic of a black tc on the old board too... looks good. I was going to get these till I found a cheap set of chome ponys
www.volpaz.com (http://"http://www.volpaz.com") Sells them in the correct offset. In original, chrome, and black. Personally, I like the black ones.

:D
volpaz? Never heard of them before, but they sure make a cool wheel! Thank you! :)
EDIT: anybody know if the Tbird centercap will fit that wheel? Same size?
you can always get the thunderbird emblem etched into the center cap.
Check the MN12 centers. They had the same wheels but in 15in form.
Man, they sure look nice on that TC. Looks perfect, almost look like they push out in the back just right.
I'm seriously considering some silver painted ones for my Cougar. Silver would look better on a monochrome car...and they are 8.5" wide!
They look nice. Perhaps an option later down the road. I'm debating a 5 lug conversion though....If I do that I'll go with the Mach1 rims or the shelby GT500 replicas.
I already spent big bucks for the TC rear discs and Mustang fronts...
These are probably perfect for me. It won't be stock, but almost nobody will know the difference. Now to see what size tire will be best for a 8.5" wheel without hitting the quadshocks or the front struts.
Here's one...
245/45R17's seem to work well, front and back. We can actually fit a 9-9.5" wide rim out back without any real hassles. That usually requires flipping the quad shocks around, and securing all e-brake cables, but it does work. My mechanic estimated that even a 10" wide rim should fit with standard offsets. Up front, that's when things get tricky...you will rub the A-arm before the strut. Right now, running the aforementioned tire size on a 17x8.5" rim, there is about 1/4" of space between my tire and the strut, but on extreme left and right turns the rim ses on the A-arms. The
brand new FRPP A-arms. Had I known that would happen to the extent that it has, I would have waited for the '03-04 Cobra FRPP A-arms. They seem to be bent out of the way more to allow a wider rim. But they were not even in existence when my suspension went on, so no use cryin' over them. ;) Anyhow, clearance should be just fine up front. A 255 would probably encroach upon the strut.
i think they are a realy greatlooking wheel, and they arent realy all that common. good choice..
Thanks for the great info, Eric. I know that 245s rubbed a little bit in the front of my Mark VIIs so I figure that's all I can put up front on the Cougar too.
Whenever I open the bank for these wheels, I'll post some pics. Maybe for X-mas. Thanks everyone. :)
Its not my tast but it looks good.
Nice to see something else then the same old combo's
