This should help. A second sourse that says basicaly the same thing.
I have 2.5% on my rear windows and man does it suck at night. I would keep that in mind when selecting you window tint.
I've always gone with 35% VLT all around. It's plenty dark for me.
my back window is only 12in high, so it realy doesn't matter. but i had plan using i lighter dye back there.
but thx, hate working hard on it and get pulled over. lol
In Mi, I always heard the two quarter windows and the back window can be as dark as you want, just the door windows and the windshield need to be clear. ;)
You have to be able to see the people inside at night. The cops say if they cant tell your in it then its illegal. Only the top part of windshield though. back can be as dark as you want
yep in michigan the back and rear side windows can be covered in black sheet metal if you want (as long as you have 2 working rear view mirrors) but the front side windows can't have a tint darker than (30 or 35%) on the side below 4 " from the windows top edge. and NOTHING on the front (though I have seen clear "colored" tint to match body color on the front.. not sure if they ever got ticketed or not.
