What do you think for this car as the next cougar :america: :flip:
first its a ford so that should be the thunderbird but still thats nice
Warmed over tiburon looking thing couldn't pass as a Tbird for me.
Makes me think of an Aston Martin that ran into a wall. Not too bad, but the front needs a little work.
no..... the next cougar need's to be based on the 1969 platform
Lookes like that Scion Tc. :barf: Also looks to be a front drive.
If they are going to bring it back it need to come back with a BANG!
Wish list includes:
5.8 Lightning V8
Roots style super charger
Solid rear axle no IRS
5 or 6 speed trans
No big rims anything or 17in is useless
13in brakes
SLA front suspention
And a poor mans price tag. Below the $25,000 mark for a loaded one.
Did I miss anything?
Hey Slamed cat and what do you think about this one http://www.new-cars.com/concept/200...er-concept.html :america:

I would want it too look more like this.
I will admit that first cars styling is new to ford and not regurgitated from some old car. Honestly I wouldn't care if its a front drive. I just doesn't do it for me as a tbird or a cougar, but it shure is alot better looking than a Focus. I hate those cars.
Yes That Is It That Should Be The New Cougar.where Did You Find Those Pix?
Man, that tail end is :headbang:
Notice the GT-E in the side graphics. Now thats what I'm talking about.  :deal:  :headbang:
It shouldn't be bring back the cougars. It should be bring back the GT-E and Eliminater.
Yeah, I would buy this car for sure:
I would be second in line right behind you on that one.
Would be the third for that order, lets write to ford about what we want :america:
You fail economics.
Wish list is a very good name for all that. Don't expect to get all that for any less than $32 US. What's the projected price for the new GT500, because what you just listed will be around that mark or higher.
The only reason it would not be under $30k is because of the markup from the plant, markup from the dealer.....
Ya everyone needs there cut but a 200% markup is just stupid.
It costs a lot more than parts and labor to get a car on the showroom floor. Consider advertising costs, engineering costs for not only initial design, but also development and refinement.
Still, you won't see a Cougar cheaper than a Mustang. It just won't happen.
You won't see a Cougar period....much less one that shares platforms with a Mustang and is "more" car to boot.......
I under stand what you are saying but do you honestly think that a neon srt4 actually costs $28,000 to build and sell. Or an evo costs in the neighborhood of $35k.
Hell when I was up in MI when the neons were the new thing they were selling base model all options for $7k straight from the assembly line. Now where is the mark up?
