sorry it took so long guys.. Hope you enjoy... lotz of work still to be done (bodywork). Took awhile to get everything right , had to make a custom intake for the blower to fit on the edelbrock intake , then I had to make sure it cleared the distributer, , had to make a custom intake for the carb to sit on as well ,, it was said that I couldnt do this on a 5.0 from other forums.. But as you can see , hard work and patience pays off.. Hope you guys like it.. any questions let me know.. I wonder if I clean it all up ,do the body work , if this thing can make it in MM&FF.. LOL
That slick looking.
But I have two words "Mad Max"
that is f-ing bad. How long until it is functional? I kinda wanna see where this goes.
Wow, i'm impressed. Not many would have taken on the challange. :D
thanks guys, its only need the carb linkage hooked up and its all done.. I have the hilbourne blower scoop for it as well.. As soon as its started up , i'll get some sound clips too, maybe even a little burnout for yeah too.. :)
i have more photos aswell, if you guys want more.\
how big is ur hood gonna be man. i like it but that will not be streetable. with a hood on it. kinda sucks. but good job
i have to say, i honestly didnt think youd get it together, great job so far, cant wait to hear how it runs
Yeah a few good close ups would be killer. I'd like to see how that intake is setup.
Thanks guys, more pics coming up, and to cougarcoupe88 , thats the hood im using , its a 5 1/2 inch cowl and the hilbourne scoop goes on aswell.. TBIRD232ci , have some faith in me man ! LOL .
How do you put oil in the case with the unit upside down? I take it you fill it before you put it on.
Hmm while I respect the fabrication I don't like how far it sits off the engine. If you had built the lower intake ( i know a big pain in the ass) You could have got it down low like a 3.8 does. Those sharp bends look like they will hamper performance.
Congratulations, you shut some mouths....
I like the Fabrication, good work man.
(EDIT) mmm, wait a moment, that means....can we build a Carbed 3.8 with the M90 ?

I had to build the intake for the blower that high cougarSE , the 5.0 has a distributer in the front of the engine , not the back, so i had to clear it , also i needed it to beable to hold the weight of the blower.. and the oil was pre-filled, lol.. this was only the first attempt I made after I drew up the blueprints so, if it needs work, I can always tamper with it.. Hope you guys like.. Like I said , im going to get some sound clips and some more pics for you,(close-ups)
the 3.8L has the distributor in the front as well, hence the DIS system on the SCed 3.8L's. I don't like the looks of it, LOOKS homemade, but I am intrested in seeing if it will even run, and the longevity of using a blower as a draw through unit when it was never meant to be used that way. You could have quite the ticking time bomb on your hands.
Get this beast running so we can see how all this works together.
nice fab work, that looks like it was an engineering nitemare to design. I hope it runs as good as it looks. if not you have the most original setup ever!
does it run, do you have problems with your a/f ratio's with the fuel coming it pre-compression? do you keep proper atomization, or do you get puddling?
