Std issue... ZXP-7777... Got it back in Feb '94, didn't transfer it to the Bird till '99. Was on a '87 Stang and 3-4 other Birds prior.

Had 69-428 on the '69 428 Cobra Jet, but at present it's not registered to anything(prolly will be going on a TC I will be selling)... The Cobra Jet will be registered with a original 1969 plate when I put it back on the road...

There's a place in Newark DE that makes custom key chains, vinyl decals, license plate frames etc.
I told them what I wanted the frame to say and what color combination and in about five minutes, they made it for me.

Man they must have differn't laws down in virginia.  Theres not a car on the road in ohio that has and 11 year old tag.  That would have been back when the were just white and blue.  I think you can only cary a tag for so long.  Hell its getting to the point were you don't even see the white fade to gold Ohio plates, those ones looked better than the ones we have now.

To the best of my knowledge, we can keep a plate indefinatly as long as it is in good shape. Also we can register an original year of manfacture plate to our cars that are over 25 years old(again must be in good condition). This applies even if its a std registration, just have to stick the decals on them somewhere. If they are registered as antique then the month/year stickers are not necessary.

Does your car have to be 20 or 30 years old to be considered an antique?

I guess it could likely vary by state, but in VA at 25 years old they can be registered as a antique. That limits you to 2500 miles a year and with only pleasure driving(no driving to work etc). But its a long term registration good for several years and only costs $8(last time I checked).

You should check with you're states DMV...

Well I know for sure that here in Kansas you can drive where ever the hell you want how much you want. One of my friends has a 62 biscayne and he drives it as a daily driver and he has been pulled over and never got any grief about it.

Yeah Ill have to check on that though, thanks.

You can register a car as antique after so many years, but you dont have to...  I registerd my 66 nova with standard issue plates and drove it for a while.

I said they CAN be registered as a antique... Not they HAD to

Like CougarSE my nephews '66 Nova is registered with std plates and driven daily.Well it was, I had my sister pull the plates and register them to the neph's '87 Stang so I can sell it for them...
