Title: 69 mustang scoop on tbird
Post by: Dookie86 on August 14, 2005, 10:25:33 PM
my friend has a hood scoop from his 69 mach 1 ( i think thats what he said) he'll give to me for free and it looks pretty snazy on his car.  but the mustang has a longer straight hood, unlike the tbirds rounded hood. will it still look good? i dont wanna drill the holes and then cry myself to a wet dream wondering where i went wrong. thanks

pull the studs out of the scoop and sit it on your hood and see if you like how it looks thats the most important thing.

the bottom of the scoop can be sanded to match your profile. add a liitle black foam tape to get an even look. I did it to my 87 before the crash (cry cry cry)

It should just bolt on flush, no modifications necassary.  I didn't have to modify mine on my '85.  Except I cut out a huge square underneath the scoop to make it a functional ram air.
