Title: Wondering if anyone has exp. with side pipes and our cars
Post by: 20th anny 5.o on August 14, 2005, 02:06:20 PM
Yeah im looking at a summit racing catalog and eyeing these Dyno Max side pipes and a set of Patriot classic Style (AKA grated). So how hard do you guys think it would be to hang these and secondly, would i have to straight pipe it if i did this.

Here is a link to the Patriot pipes

they both have a ler built in them > be sure to hear a car with a set of each before you decide as you may not be happy with the sound the may produce.

You can always just get 2 lers in the stock location with both the inlet and the outlet being in the front and having sidepipes off a 1994-1998 mustang like I did:

Could yes but i like the classic grated tubular, if it comes to it i may do it the baxo way but i prefer the classic sidepipes.

Yeah to be honest the grated tubular ones hold a spot in my heart.. but my plans aren't exactly complete with this yet. That and this was the easiest way I can achieve the sidepipes on a 4 banger.

Cool, one of the 4's eh that is pretty cool, not to mention fuel efficient. Just for a trip up to taylor michigan it cost about 17 bucks in gas for me, mind you i live in toledo pretty much on the line.

Do you wax them, and to tell the truth i could care less about the lack of performance. I just think they look good and not that many fox bodies have side pipes.

Thanks for the warning tho
