Title: Automatic shoulder belt track noise.....
Post by: Spyderrc10gt2 on July 27, 2005, 11:31:15 PM
My thunderbird has the automatic shoulder strap belt and it makes a ton of noise openining and closing. i think maybe if i lube up the track it might fix it but i dont know how to do it. Should i just spray some wd-40 all over the track or will it hurt somthing, or do i need to take it apart to lube it up?? Thanks

Two things should help fix this, a finger... and some white lithium grease. Less messy than wd-40, and it should last longer.

I second that white lithium grease. it almost never wants to come off and that is what I used on my tempo when it had the same noise and that took care of it. You can also get  white lithium in a spray form.
