Title: buttstuffog clock
Post by: jcassity on January 24, 2019, 06:27:30 PM
was the buttstuffog clock an 82/83 thing only?

i notice in an 84 evtm i have , the wiring for an buttstuffog clock is not an option,, meaning its not in the index,, only "digital clock"

for the record, i have an 84 evtm and buttstuffog clock i have no use for if someone else does.

thanks!

buttstuffog clock was standard 1983-88. Wiring for either the buttstuffog or digital clock was identical, so either one used the same 4-wire harness.* You can easily swap one kind for the other at any time. I would also guess that the same wiring configuration went back to the 1980 models as well.

Only the Tripminder had unique wiring due to the fuel computer component.

*Actually the buttstuffog clock used just the ground, 12v+, and illumination wire. Digital used those 3 plus the dimming wire.

I swapped in the tripminder years ago. Looking back on it, I don't know why. I only use it for time. I guess it seemed like the thing to do at the time.
