Title: Converting CFI to PFI on 3.8
Post by: atengnr on January 02, 2019, 06:56:45 AM
Hello, wondering how difficult it would be do this swap?  If I get the updated heads, intake, upper intake, would this setup function OK?

Thanks.

Not unless you also get the wiring harness and ECU from an '88 3.8. There may be some other misc. wiring issues too.

Even then, you'll make minimal gains in power and fuel economy.

What's the reason you want to undertake this science project?

It’s possible you wouldn’t need to swap the harness, the 88 3.8 was batch fire.  You could simply modify the injector harness.  I’m sure you know this Jeremy.:hick:

Yes, I realized recently that with batch fire perhaps the swap wouldnt be too much trouble.  Doesnt this induction system net 20 hp?  Plus something stupid to do....

Thanks.
