Title: Question about a T-5 I found
Post by: tc² on October 27, 2018, 07:10:16 PM
I recently bought an A4LD Turbo Coupe and went to the junkyard to get a few odds and ends.  I asked the owner if he had any T-5s laying around, and the only thing he had came out of a 1986 2.3 Ranger.  I think it's a Mitsubishi unit.  The identification plate said E67A-7003-BC.  Would this be compatible with our cars at all?  For what its worth, the car will be a daily driver running 16lbs of boost with the IHI.

Not worth it, the shifter would come up through the dash and a hydro only clutch setup forcing you to find a 87-88 pedal set.  No ranger ever came with a T-5. S10's did though but again the shifter is something like 10" further forward.

If you want to make the swap to a Turbo Coupe T5, I have all the parts to make it happen. At present, I have a running parts car that I am getting ready to tear apart in the very near future.
