Title: Spindle nut torque
Post by: Muiscmaster on September 23, 2018, 05:13:13 PM
Whats the proper torque for the front spindle nut on an 84 TBird. And by proper I mean a specific number, not something vague like "tighten it till it stops and back it off"

Thanks

18-25 lbs to seat the bearing, then loosen three full turns and tighten to 25 inch lbs.

They really don't need to be all that right. I just tighten mine till I feel no play in the disc then I line everything up so the Vitter pin slides in.
