I am the owner of a 1988 Mercury Cougar XR-7 with the 5.0 engine.
I am looking for some help in locating the motor mounts for this car (they are the same in the Thunderbird for 1986-1988).
I need to locate both the left and right side metal brackets for the motor mounts especially the upper parts that bolt to the engine block.

The Ford part numbers for these upper brackets are:
E8SZ 6030 A
E8SZ 6031 A
Any help you can offer in where or how I may locate these parts would be greatly appreciated.

the metal portion of the mounts you need are unique to only bird/coug in 5.0L only,, no other car.

i have a spare set of mount for 5.0, been told they are worth a mint

I hooked him up on a pair.

Was he doing a motor swap? Or just worn out bushings?

The metal parts of his motor mounts were rusted.
