Keep looking and found this Holley 770cfm carb $101.00

original price $402.99
I walked away like a thief.
Great finds! Went to Lasalle-Peru? I didn't know they had a markdown room, thats cool. What are you going to put those toys in?
Yup Lasalle-Peru
On the weekends they put all there returns in the back of the store where the garage door is. All kinds of things. I had to pass onthe set of racing buckes that were marked 50% off because I had no way to get them back. Rode up with my dad in his zx2.
The tach is going in the Cougar. The carb may go on the Lincoln because I found someone to straighten it out cheap. 91 Mark VII carbed with a T5 sounds good to me.
770 CFM on a stock, or even near stock 5.0 is a bit big...
Nice buys though:ies:
where is this jc whitny store located at?hell of a deal or shall we say steal.i too believe the 770 is a little too much.my brothers big ugly wagon runs best with a 600 vac secondary with its stock 88 ho engine.hell even a 670 was too much.how bout a 460 inthe mkvii?cool!

I do have a 390 with the big port 4 barrel heads!!
Ok the gears are rolling. How how bad do I have to hack the engine bay to make the headers fit right.
yeah,an fe in a fox.thats the ticket.most people would say that the fe is a boat anchor due to there weight, but i have seen an early 80s(83-85)cougar superstocker in an old superford magazine with an fe.had the front wheels about 3 feet in the air.of course it was tubbed out with a lot of rubber .have no clue what oil pan would put that monster in there though.hey,i got old performer intake and some m/t valve covers i would sell ya!!!!
I was going to put the 390 in the 88 bird put I was told I had too many toys and one or two need to go. So my 88 bird and my 86 mark are going on the chopping block then to the crusher.
But I might be interested in the parts depending on the price.
I've got another straight LSC body for ya.. :p
Well I made a trip back up there today and bought some more stuff.
Four racing seats. $345 out the door. Two of them were returns becasue the seat didn't come it the custom sliders.
Also picked up a 93 cobra upper, lowere, 1/4" space, and 65mm BBK throttle body. Also got a set of Headman long tube headers with the intake. That set me back $380
I think I did good this weekend.
Now next weekend I will start collection suspention parts.
