Is there any of these cars left? Has anyone here had one? The only guy I've seen that has one is some guy on 4chan and its a sheap.

I'm guessing they're stupid rare? Is there anything that makes them majorly different than other fox cars?

1981 XR7 Cougar was my first car.  See very few of them, probably for a reason...... LOL .  Boxy and sorta ugly, compared to the later aero cars.  Mine was a V8 and a dog, performance wise.

It's a Fox underneath. They are just really fuggly. Worst looking Thunderbirds Ford put out, in my opinion.

They're unique and rare now, but there are some out there. Very pr0ne to rot in the quarters in front of the doors. Other wise, basically the same as the '83-8 cars, in terms of suspension and driveline. Would still love to have one, 390 swapped, and mini tubbed, just to fart around in and make people gawk.

I had an 80 tbird not that long ago. 255 V8. It was a nice riding car. Not fast at all, but a comfy ride. I'll see if I can find pics (I probably posted some on here at some point, lol).

They may be getting rare and, I assume that beauty REALLY is in the eye of the beholder but, my gawd were those cars ugly!!  I had a '78 that I loved and still wouldn't mind getting another one of those but these really early 80s cars just didn't look like a t-bird or Cougar to me at all :(

I found the ad when I listed mine for sale:

http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?37853-1980-Thunderbird-For-Sale (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?37853-1980-Thunderbird-For-Sale")

It's long since sold, and I wonder what became of it. The new owner said he was going to make it into a hot-rod (but so do the new owners of EVERY fox body I have ever sold...)

Had 2 '80 XR-7's. Liked them because they were funky-looking.

Still could get them back, if I wanted. Just don't have the time for another project.
