Title: Which fuel tank ?
Post by: dcs13 on May 27, 2017, 10:02:59 PM
My 85 project did not come with a fuel tank. I'd rather use a stock tank. Since the 85 was an EFI motor and I am putting a carbed motor in the car. Will the stock 85 tank be my best choice or do ya'll have a recommendation ?

The 83 v-6 was carbed, but a bit smaller capacity.

Rock auto,,, you will find the correct fit tank in two sizes.

they claim the 22gal tank allows you to use thier pn longer straps but they are not longer... LOL.  you need to use longer bolts so.. you can use your existing straps.

best bang for your buck and great quality tank , so buy it from them.

you can see my rock auto fuel tank in my resto project thread in Engine Swapping,, last few pages you will see where i gave up on my original tank in trade for a new one.

You can fab up your own supply & return lines easily on your own ,, its more important to find a tank that "fits" the cradle of the underside of the car correctly with the correct location of the fuel fill door etc.
