I need more if anyone has some they wanna get rid of.
i'll just add on to what i have now.
Anyone else collect these?
one more
by the way,, i love the ohio one,, my absolute favorite. I found out the history behind why the state was stamped into that pattern.
It symbolized the era and pride of being an industrial power house. The arrangement of letters suggest to the viewer a chain link system and as well gears or pulley systems
second fav is the TENN one shaped like the state,, then third is the 1937 anny Maryland one of 300 years celebration.
That ZZT-2870 Va plate is one of first seven digit plates that began issue in '94... When VA went to seven digits, ZZZ-9999 was first plate and they've been working backward since... There were a few years when the Jamestown Commemorative was being issued that jumped to JAA-1001 and worked up, those were issued till they'd worked through approx half of the Kxx-xxxx combinations...
yeah,, that was on my wifes chevy citation 2d,, 2.5L 4cyl. i miss that work horse
36mpg and great power for the application, lots of room, perfect car for a family when a mini van was just too insulting LOL
Yeah that MD plate is a hoot, celebrate the Tercentenary...:rollin:
I believe it was '57 when Fed law disallowed the offset Tenn and odd size plates of other states... That was due to lobbying of the automakers so they could design bumpers etc with a inset that plate fit into...
I'd like to have a plate from each state/province to cover a wall in my garage. Right now I've only got my vanity plate "Jus4Kix" (they give you two, but only one is required and I'll be ed if I'm putting a plate on the front of my Mustang) plus a few trailer plates. I used to have the plate off my father's 1978 Ramcharger (plate number 65-856-C) but it got lost during a move
i know,, i didnt even know that word existed. i had to look it up. i knew it must've meant something along the lines of something of a "three", just never heard of it before.
Here's one of my favorite plates, had it on the wife's Grand Marquis for a couple of years...

She didn't care for it and of course it cost a extra $10 a year(big deal), but I wasn't going to give up my std issue quad 7777 plate that I've had since Feb of '94... Used to run the sevens on the T-Bird, but for last three years has been on the other Grand Marquis(yes I have two)...
NO,,
i guess i dont have to ask what no means :D
Uhhh what part of NO don't you understand?
I was looking at two digit combinations on the DMV site(wanted my first & last initials), there were two open combos and NO was one of them...
Funny story about NO...
I received two parking tickets from Fairfax VA because any vehicle they ticketed without a plate the meter maid simply wrote NO(may be why number was available?)... One was for a Yota and other was a US Mail vehicle... I called and they fixed it, dunno what they are writing on tickets now...
There was a similar story here locally, this guys tag read "no tag" and he ended up with like $10k in parking tickets because of it.
Im thinking about junking my red cougar. Its tired, rusted out and has a million things wrong with it. If I do I will save the utah plate for ya scott.
thanks, that would be really neat if you could save back the UTAH one,, much appreciated!
Scott here's one you'll like, what my grandkids call me... Actually it's Pa Pa but in summer Granddaughter spends a month or so with her grandmother in NC, so it comes out Paw Paw... I found it at junk shop in Hanpen 15 MD, gladly gave up the $2 askin' price...

I have a Pennsyltucky one to donate and if ya ask nice you can have one of my Missouri plates
paw paw is a fruit,,, and i seem to be the only one from kentucky that hates them darn things. nice plate though,,, red and all,,, must be fire dept or what?
whathuheck is a pennsyltucky? never herd uv iyt
Yeah from what I found the town was named for the fruit...
I think it was just probably a local thing that some group produced & sold, I never thought it could be used in any kind of "official capacity"... I honestly dunno...
