finally got around to finishing my exterior deck railing.
i struggled with what kind of baluster to use and the overall price point for each unit.
i finally settled on a fairly inexpensive solution using 1/2'' rebar.
i like it
pilot holes drilled and rebar inserted in each hole,, sealed with liquid nails
thought someone might like this idea and use it.
i was going to make "pop belly" rebar balusters then decided against it. i kind of regret it now but its ok.
pop belly meaning the rebar would curve out along the outside of the deck
by the way,, bending 2x4 hardwood in a gentle curve is still a very hard thing to do and takes patience if you want that curved look on your wrap around porch.
