Title: Full digital gauge problem
Post by: ISTLCRUZ on November 14, 2016, 06:15:50 PM
Had the Bird out tonight and when I switched to headlights I could no longer read my speed,fuel,etc... Could this be a relay problem? ( if so where do I look).. It shouldn't be a fuse or bulbs because the instruments show properly without the lights on? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

There is a relay that switches the LCD power source.
With the headlights off, full power from fuse 6.
With the headlights on, power from the headlight dimmer control and fuse 13.

The instrument illumination power is from the dimmer control and fuse 13.
The illumination bulbs are only used with the headlights on.

Problem solved... It was a fuse... Next question....what size bulb do I need for the full digital gauge and how many are there? Haven't taken the gauge out yet, would like to have the bulbs on hand when I do. I replaced them in a TC buttstuffog gauge years ago, seems like there were a lot? 8or9 maybe?
