went to the junkyard and got a alternator from a 3.0 ford taurus thought i got a 3g alternator but on closer inspection looks like i might have got a 4g. this alternator only had 2 wires going out of the 3 wire plug and 1 4 gauge going to the megafuse. Was wondering if i can still use this. Looks like the stator was kept internal instead of going from the 3 wire plug to the spade terminal because this alternator doesnt have that.
It will work if you can make it fit.
And if you don't have a carburetor with an electric choke that needs the stator voltage.
I should have added the 5.0L CFI as also needing the stator voltage for it's electric choke heater.
