Title: severed wire on fuel injector harness

pulling apart engine for new heads and and an upper intake and i found a wire severed on the fuel injector harness any clue what its for?

Possibly the oxygen sensor ground wire?

That is my guess as well. I remember it being orange.

perfect so i guess ill just ground it to the block?

Check pin 49 for continuity before grounding.

Redundant and not needed on the CougarBird harness.
