Extremely nice 80 Thunderbird all original! Original paint in very good condition with a couple minor scratches. Interior is almost like new! Very clean undercarriage! Car has been rust guarded.
Everything works! Very nice survivor! Show condition!

Never could get into these. The proportions are just kind of odd.
The 80 that I had looked identical to that one, except I had red interior. I bought it as a totally rust-free ohio car, which was strange. Until I discovered the rear main leaked so bad that the underneath was totally "undercoated" with oil, lol.
Do you remember the introduction of the 83's and how radical the style change was back then? Today we take it for granted but back in 1983 it was a BIG thing.

But come to think about it I have two Snapper mowers that are older than you, one is a '77 with a '80 engine(belonged to my grandfather, I inherited it in '85) and a '83 curb pickup I went through totally that now has '04 Honda power(kicks ass for a old walk behind)... There's also a 1987 with orig engine, that's the one I used today...
My lawn mower is only 9 years old. Even my lawn equipment is young.
Trust me, young is better(though not necessarily in mowers)...
I junked or traded other mowers for old Snappers(how I got the '87, orig just to be parts) but am finished, ones I have will last out my years and like me be junked...
When making service calls I used to find them on the curb, if they were not total junk I tossed it in back of van... Last new(only new) mower I bought was in 1971 when I bought my first home...
I only bought the new mower (a Torro with a Brigs engine) as the 40 year old one that came with the house threw a rod the third time I used it. I figured it was time a for a new one at that point.
