you should look into the H4 conversions! And LateModelRestoration.com has some good h4 headlight units.

I run some early chinese halo conversions. I am sure they are not DOT, but they are much better than the ol' sealed beams, and they aren't obnoxious to oncoming traffic.

I wish I would have waited until the LED halos came out, they look cooler than my incandescent (read: dim) halos.

I have since pulled the higher wattage bulbs. I got concerned with both getting a ticket and the housings getting hot. Neither of which happened but why press my luck on something stupid like that.
