Is this the correct window molding removal tool for the front and rear window molding?
i dont know if its the proper tool, but i could sure use something like that in bed...
Karl, I'm not sure that you really need a tool at all. The way I take window mouldings off is to grab at the inside edge of it and simply pull away from the glass, it eventually all pops off.
I was able to get the front off with a flat-blade screwdriver but I tried the rear molding on my wrecked 87 and I messed it up BADLY.
Yes, that is the right tool, it makes life so much easier, especially on the back. You just have to get it behind the clips, pull it toward the middle of the window and the molding pops right off.
For What?! Wait, nevermind that I asked. Maybe some things are better left unknown. :rollin:
if you heard the stories about one of my ex's, youd understand
I screwed the moulding up around the rear window of the 88 I had badly also. The clips did not want to release and bent everything horrible.
BE CAREFUL and take your time...
Dave
What are you doing for a new windshield gasket?
Chris
The tool we used was very very similar. It wasn't my tool but if I remember correctly thats what it looked like. Sorry I can't get any more detail.
About that "tool"...Where do the batteries go?
