Title: Turbo coupe tach
Post by: thewestie on July 27, 2015, 04:57:24 PM
I'm trying to resurrect the 4cylinder tach in the bird. Do the three posts in the back of the tach represent the three inputs?  I have 12v ground and tachout from ecu set to half speed to compensate. And it won't work. Is there a test to see is tach works?
Thought?

Try hooking to the tach/ground side of the coil instead of the ECU tachout.
If this gets the tach to move, then maybe the ECU tachout has the wrong voltage levels for this tach.

I was thinking same thing. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
Thanks.

Tach works of neg side of coil. Jim's gonna make me a circuit to get it to half speed.
