werent the 93 xr7's the 5.0's to begin with?
i thought they had the supercharged 3.8s like the supercoupes...maybe both were available?
the SC 3.8 was 89-90 only
That's a GM-looking distributor. Also, he did all that suspension work for ride stance... ride-stance?
...and what the hell... 300 horses can breathe through the donut-sized air cleaner?
In Canada and the U.S., yes. In Mexico I think they still had Cougars running the 3.8 SC motor until 1994-ish.
Ha! Take that. :flip:
Looks nice, but I wouldn't buy it.
LOLOLOLOL!!!11 OMG OMG OMFG teh koogr gawds speeks OMG lolololol!!1!1eleven1
I agree... How you boys(or girls) in them smog states gonna get it certified??? They'll take one look and boot it out the door..
BTW.. I ran the VIN through my NICB program and it came with the NA 3.8, so much for the '93 XR7s having 5.0s std..
All 1993 Cougars were XR7's....V6 standard, V8 optional. The dude's description states that it was originally a 3.8 car, but a 1985 Mustang 5.0 was dropped in. This is a converted 5.0 car.
I was dead sure that they had 5.0's after 1990. Also the sc were avalible later one.
come on cougar man, you shoulda know it was i 95
re-owned punk :tg:
Do you have evidence?
Well then.... :flip:

theres a 93, im on the hunt for a 95
I just want nice a 89-90 XR7-SC 5 Speed in my lifetime :)
I think I'll never go back to automatics unless I haft too ;)
Where is MexCougar? He'd know for sure. IIRC, 1993 was the last year for the SC motor in the Cougar for Mexico. Pretty sure the 4.6 was dropped in for 1994 there. But I'm not positive....I'll have to dig up some notes that I have somewhere on that.
But a '93 Cougar in Mexico ain't like a '93 in the US or Canada.... Those cars are built in South America and probably won't meet US/CN safety or emissions std's(although that one does appear to have had all the emissions equipment).
I'm pretty sure that Mexico had supercharged Cougars until '95. I was on an MN12 board for a while when I had the '90 XR7 and there was a Mexican dude on there that mentioned that.
Wouldn't that be cool? An MN12 Cougar with the later interior and 3.8 SC?
i have a buddy who is a mexican immigrant helping me out, because he can look up spanish auto traders, and things of that nature, since i can barely speak any spanish
Considering that all the cars in mexico are expensive , 2000 USD and i could buy that car. The cougars-Birds costs here between 2500 and 5000 USD.....some of those pearl white Xr five speed manual 93 or 94, but definitively super nice cars.....

But i´m sure that the 94 Superchargeds are there. The dealers that not sold the cars, were rebadged for 94, but is a carryover of the 93. When i was living in Guadalajara those cars were very popular. I am goint to hunt some to get proofs. Of course , 95 was the last year of the cougars here in mexico....
Well, in needing of some proof, i can only get this (for now)...
Used car list, low quality (340 kbs)....
Low quality (http://teaca.iespana.es/list.jpg)
The same but better quality 450 kbs)....
better quality (http://teaca.iespana.es/lis.jpg)
If you need some help, maybe i can explain some things...
