87 Thunderbird LX 3.8, $800. Probably not worth it.....

3.8 v-6 83000 original miles, motor needs bearings, it runs but runs rough. Power windows, power mirrows, cruise, power seats, good tires an breaks an rotors. New battery, pollution pump. A/c works electric start. Very little surface rust solid car, it does have some hail damage. It has a turbo hood but its not a turbo car... 800.00$$$
Depends on the amount of rusty parts... Last foxbody that I sped got me $450 in s metal alone. A running car, even needing rebuilt should be worth more than that.
S cars are going for around $500-$600 up here. CARS, not SUVs.....
Whaaaaaaa.....????? Uh.....
I got 350 for my last tbird with no motor, transmission or catalytic converters, then i sped the cats for $80.
Tell the guy its a $500 car with a good motor, steal the turbo coupe wheels, take what ever you need off the poor car, then junk it and get your money back.
II lied, i just looked at my receipts. $240 for the car with engine. Would have been $320 without the tow, and $40 for the cats off the car and $35 for another set i had in the garage. If i included the trans it would have been an extra $40 or so.
I bought the car for $400, drove it for 80k miles, then if i would have towed it down myself with the old auto in it, i would have about gotten my money back out of it.
:wtf:
If the fenders, hood, and doors aren't rusty it might be worth it. I can always use spare exterior parts. Interior not so much. I'd just be worried about it getting back to my house under its own power if it
"needs bearings". I don't have a truck or trailer to get it home. It's a 41 mile interstate drive from my house.
If I weren't traveling so much for work, I'd probably go get it assuming it's savable. I have a 5.0 HO and Speed Density computer that would work just ducky in it.
It it's still around in a week, i might take a look.
My poor wife. I guess there's worse addictions to have...
Geoff
Did you go look at it?
