Title: Couple questions...
Post by: 87 3.8 CAT on July 12, 2005, 09:53:15 PM
Has anyone tried the colored trim (more specifically the chrome look) that replaces the small trim piece inside the mouldings from AerobirdMotorsports? Does it look and fit good?

One other question. I called the local yard to check on a spoiler, and they told me to expect to pay 50-75 bucks for a good one, depending upon what kind of car I get it from. Does this sound about average or fair? They seem to be pretty high on most things, but hadn't checked for a spoiler anywhere else.

that's kinda steep but then again if it's the only yard around go for it i got the hook up at a local yard where i used to work so i dont pay for stuff most of the time mine came of a 87 firebird and it fit's and look's good had to drill big holes in the bottom of the trunk but it was worth it

They both look great. I was planning to take a few pic's before buying and try to imagine what the end result would be. I asked the guy for a general price, since I didn't know what I was looking for, and unfortunately, their stuff is worth a lot more than anyone else (Yeah, right). They wanted $100 each for fenders, $125 for a hood, and $100 for a trunk lid. I didn't buy either from them...and probably won't the spoiler either. Problem is, the other yard close to me crushed everything pre 95 about two months ago. I guess I'll be driving the 35-40 miles to the next one.
