Title: CHE upper/lower, torque box reinforcement, & isolators installed
Post by: 83TB on March 13, 2015, 08:53:58 PM
I finally got around to installing my upper and lower control arms, spring isolators, tail axle bushings, and torque box reinforcement kit.  Here are a few pictures of the progress so far.  I will get more picture later as I still need to press out the axle housing bushing and finish installing the uppers.

I have got both side of the reinforcements finished, I ran into a little issue with the upper mounts at the rear end housing.  I have a 9 in, and when they welded the tabs on for the uppers to mount to.  They did not have them raised up enough to give my clearance for aftermarket control arms.  I will post some pictures of this issue, not sure how I am going to handle it just yet.

You may end up tpuppies some of the inside tabs. Not a lot, but just enough to clear.

I was thinking about that, I was going to bolt the factory control arm and che one together and mark where it need to be trimmed, I did some research and it looks like they mounted like that to keep the right mounting height like the factory had it.  I read some forums where some people purchased bolt in 9 inch for mustang and the tabs were to high and cause geometry issues.

I got the uppers on finally, still just a little bit of tpuppies on the mounting ear to do.  I painted the sway bar red, and this is the stance, but I just got email from CHE that they send them adjusted a little up on the perch.  I will adjust them all the way down and see how that looks, after I try it with a full tank of gas in it also.
