Title: Big Ugly Wagon
Post by: 30thtbird on July 11, 2005, 05:26:48 PM
well,im at it again.this time,a picture of my brothers wagon.although its not a fox,at least its FOMOCO.
its a 1970 fairlane.believe it or not,it has less than 70k miles on it.just lead a hard life.i donated an 88 ho from an lsc parts car i once had.heres a run down....
3900+lbs with driver
stock 88 ho long block(heads have never been off)
stock 88 ho cam
stock 94 ho mustang shorties
weiand xcelerator intake
600cfm holley
c-4 with shift kit
tci street fighter torque converter
70 cyclone 9 inch with n-case 3.50 tracloc
homemade traction bars
homemade frame connectors
you would have to see this thing to beleive it.he runs it on street tires(copper cobras)and although its hard to tell from the pic,it almost pulled the right front tire.
and by the way,if anyone can help locate a cheap parts car,it would be much appreciated.

i tried to scan a copy of the time slip, but it just didnt show up for me.still learning my new toy.heres what the ts says though....
car#1970w
reaction +.1321
60ft 2.1688
330ft 6.2737
et@594ft 9.0718
1/8et 9.6940
1/8mph 72.32
this was backed up with a 9.697 the following time trial run.his best to date in das boat.not bad for a 2 ton rust bucket, with a stock 5.0 long block.
oops,i forgot,i did give him a set of cobra 1.7s as well.

yeah,im working on that.no digi and just a disposable.hasnt been enough light over the last week due to the cloud cover.wanting to get a couple of pics so everyone can see how low it sits when not in motion.maybe even another gratuitous burnout shot.gonna head for the junkyard here in an hour.looking over the turbo cars trying to find more parts to set up a twin turbo system on BUW.then it will be one hell of a sleeper.

hey Sleeper TBird, got any parts left lying around?maybe you might know where another wagon or 4 door parts car might laying around.as you can tell, needs a little help.if it wasnt for the home made frame connectors,it would probably be a little tweeked by now.hopefully i will have those pics for it later this week.
