Have any of you guys done this? Seems really neat! like a report card of how your engine is doing. Cost is $25

While once in awhile a UOA isn't a bad idea, assuming no internal coolant leaks or a failing bearing, cam etc it isn't going to tell you what condition your engine is... Every engine family has a expected/acceptable amount of wear metals in the oil, only if these are beyond expected level is there a concern...
Over the road trucks use buttstuffysis regularly as they may only change oil after 25-50K miles... Trucking Co aren't going to dump 15-25 or more gallons of oil just because it has a little mileage on it... If at say 20K miles wear metals have taken a spike, that warrants investigation into the integrity of the engine vs the it being a fault of the oil... Of course if a different brand oil than before in in use and all similar engines are showing a high level of metals, might just be the oils fault... Of course the regular oil mfgr may have mixed a bad batch, it's happened...
