I am shopping around for tires and I found a set of 195/65R14s at a good price. I'm not sure what size my car originally had on it, because it has 215/75R14s on it right now, and the factory dealer brochure I have states that the optional tire size was 215/70R14. If mine had the optional tires, the PO put even larger tires on it at some point.
My question is, will putting 195/65R14 tires on my car have a negative effect on the car itself?
It's hard to find 215/70R14s, let alone 215/75R14s, so if I can get these, it would be very beneficial at this point.

Those would be about 24" overall diameter, which is about 1-1/2 to 2" less than your OEM sizes. Gearing and speedo reading are changed, the wheelwells look huge, and they may not have enough load capacity for the weight of the car, depending on their load index.
