check out the HO conversions. Gain ya an easy 75 hp. I am going it with a car that I bought for $110(86 cougar with the 5.0) and a wrecked mustang that I am buying off of a freind for $300.
Welcome here have a good time
I look forward to seeing your pictures. You are deffinately in the right place. When I joined I knew nothing and the generosity of the folks around here has given me the ability to do most anything with my car. Jason.
Welcome aboard! :)
welcome aboard!!
thanks you folks. Cant wait to get my car and start on it.
I see that i must do something with the power but i live in norway and H.O parts is rather hard to find here. Can i go with lets say edelbrock and new cam and a single 3" exhaust. and some ported heads of a 79 302?
I know this might bee in the wrong forum but anyhow

welcome man...I also own a '86 302 T-bird
If your planing on a cam that had more lift/duration than the HO cam, Only the Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads will work on a SO shortblock that has the flat top pistons. I've been using a set with the small Trick Flow cam for almost six years now. You can run the ported heads you mentioned, just have to stay with a mildish cam...
