Title: Heater core help
Post by: Outcast13 on January 13, 2015, 02:49:34 AM
I got the heater box from racer thank you. I just need to know the best place to buy the blower motor and the heater core from. Any ideas please let me know. I did searches on the Fourm and confused my self a little bit. Any ideas would help a lot. I have a 1988 thunderbird tc with the digital hear buttons thanks.

The blower motors are all the same. I got one from autozone that fit perfectly, but i had to pre pay and ship to store. Lots of guys swear by the nos stuff. I have used a few $20 parts store heater cores without too many issues and it worked as long as i had the car. Lots of people say they go out really quickly though.

Make sure you pick up a restrictor. Late model restro has them, but i have used a 1/4" socket before.

When I was looking into doing my heater core, lots of guys here suggested getting a new old stock ford core. I followed suit. I figured the original one that was in the car lasted 26ish years. The only downside was that my heater core cost $85 on ebay...because theres so much freaking copper in them.
