Can anyone recommend somewhere to get New Front Fenders and Hood for an 83 Thunderbird? (are they available new?)

Somewhere that does shipping as i'll have to get them sent to a yard for them to be shipped to Aus

Nothing available new anymore. It took me a year to find a good fender for my 84. You could always try car-part.com and see what turns up.

It's a nationwide and possibly worldwide salvage yard search

Wow! My 85 supposedly does the 1/4 in 18 secs with the 3.8, C5, and 2.74 gears. Just imagine how much faster it would be with all those fiberglass parts installed.

Do you think fiberglass doors could maintain 100% functionality? like could they handle window lift motors? how about the door panels?
