Has anyone tried Innovate Motorsports Wideband Gauge air/fuel monitor kit before? And did it work?
yup, I have 2 of the lm-1's and put the lc-1's on all the MS2's I install, I like them because you can calibrate the wideband sensor every so often to compensate for use. most of the other controllers use the calibration resistor that's built in to the sensor for the life of the sensor.....so I can see where it would get a bit off from use and give the wrong readings after some use...... but that's my thinking.
Yeah wagon, been researching air/fuel monitors for a few weeks now and the Innovate Motorsports kits seem to fit what i was looking for. I've read the reviews and i think i'm going to get two of the LC-1's Innovate Motorsports 3873 DB Series Green 2-1/16" 52mm Complete Wideband Gauge Kit with LC-1, O2 Sensor to go on my 86' cat.
I have the LC-1 waiting to be installed on my Megasquirted Thunderbird, so no usage yet.
A wideband is a wideband - give it power, plug it into your exhaust (weld in a bung if needed), and go. They will all "work".
You don't need two though...you use one to run alongside your existing narrowband sensors. They aren't a replacement for the narrowbands.
Mine will be in before yours! Hopefully this weekend. Last weekend I was stuck dealing with work-related business.
I've had one for a year and a half and it's still sitting on my workbench. Mine's an AEM, though. :p
Well, the sensor is already in, I just haven't completed the wiring. That being said, yes yours will be functional long before mine. :)
Yeah, I've had an AEM for years. I want to ditch the gauge, so picked up the innovate unit. Reviewing datalogs at a 5ms polling rate are much more revealing than staring at a gauge. I have the datalogging software's own gauges if I need any instantaneous readings, but quicker feedback isn't needed without forced-induction.
The wideband will get some usage here soon with a new MAF and 30lb injectors. I don't think I will notice an accuracy difference between the two wideband systems.
I went with the mtx line to go with there dual function gauge line and the login capabilities
