what spark plugs should i consider using with accel coil and wires? it has e3's in it now but I think it's time to change plugs
My car gets 22 mpg when I use b-12 chemtool in the tank, it only gets 17 if I don't. this week I put gumout octane booster in it to see what mpg i get but don't know for a few more days. My questioin is with given information should i maybe run a higher octane gas or what? just not for sure why the b-12 is making such a difference.
I need to replace the axle dampers in my 88 t-bird, what is the best quality replacement for price and handling?
Check your timing. Most fuel additives are just alcohol and a bit of atf. The only reason mpg would be higher would be if you have spark or timing issues. My bone stock 193k cougar gets 20mpg all day long delivering pizza and 25 to 28mpg at freeway speeds.
VEry few cars benefit from "better" spark plugs. Throw some $1.99 autolights in it and call it a day.
Axle dampners, just buy the cheapest replacements you can, they last a very long time. No benefit to high end bilsteins etc...
Some low mileage takeoffs from late model Mustangs work well.
Low mileage axle dampers will not work from a Mustang if the OP is referring to the rear shocks which is what I was reading but maybe not. KYB's are really good replacements for the struts and shocks and do not cost an arm and a leg.

Well, he said axle dampers.......... So I guess I answered his question, right or wrong.
shiznit Mike, you are 100% correct! I completely forgot about the quad shocks as my cars do not have them. Biggest bandaid Ford ever designed to fix a problem that should have been corrected with better control arms.
