Just finished reading the latest Car Craft magazine. They managed to find space between the LS-powered Camaros to mention two T-Birds. The first was Matt & Debbie Hay's pro-street Turbo Coupe. The second was a reader's ride. I know, it's not much, but it's rare to see any mention of these cars at all, much less twice in one magazine...
Yeah I saw that too. However, my subscription is up for renewal and I think I'm going to let it go. I'm tired of the all the LS swapped Fords and GM focused stuff. I know that probably sells more magazines as the GM audience is the largest, but geez louise they may as well change it to "CHEVY CRAFT". I will admit that I like the technical aspect of the magazine, I've really learned a lot reading it. I think I'll just stick to Hot Rod from here on out though.
It's always nice to see some token FoMoCo products in Car Craft, especially when they're fox-body birds or cats. I've been reading Car Craft off and on since the days when a turbocharged Thunderbird was a radical new idea. It does print some entertaining and informative articles. But it was generally known as "Camaro Craft" or "Chevy Craft" even back then.
If someone is willing to fund an ls swap in my bird, I'm all for it . Then maybe they'll pay some attention to these cars.

Is this the one?
Talk to Tom, he's the resident LS expert :) That would be alright if it was a Firebird and not a Thunderbird.................
@88Turbo, yep, that be the one
I think LS motors are great....as long as they are in a GM car. Fox Mustangs w/LS motors are ghey IMO! You can make just as much or more power with a Ford 'plant, it just may cost a little more to do so.
LS engines are so popular because you can get a 300+hp 5.3 out of a wreaked truck for a couple hundred bucks. A 300+hp 5.0/302, 5.8/351w Ford or 5.7/350 Chevy is going to cost much more than a couple hundred bucks.
I'm just not a fan of crossbred builds. A Ford should have a Ford motor, a GM should have a GM, etc. There's nothing that annoys me more than seeing a sweet Ford at a car show only to discover a 350/350 combo in it. The LS motors are becoming today's SBC swap.
